Daniel Amparán is the Founder & Managing Director of FERNFUTURES, a UK-based consultancy that accelerates growth by bridging the gap between ICT solutions and vertical sectors. FERNFUTURES equip growth-driven companies to capitalise on high-value opportunities.

Daniel has nearly thirty years of international experience having held Managing Director positions at leading business intelligence firms GlobalData and Pyramid Research where he led their international growth and position them as leaders in their industries in growth markets. 

Prior to this, Daniel played a leading role in the development and international expansion of Telmex International (now part of América Móvil), in its International and Corporate Development Divisions in Mexico City where he was directly involved in the acquisitions and integration of AT&T Latin America, and Embratel and Net Serviços in Brazil, among others. Before joining Telmex, Daniel had years of management consulting and investment banking experience, having worked for McKinsey and Co. in Mexico City developing commercial strategies for companies in several sectors and Dresdner Bank (now Commerzbank) in Frankfurt, Germany, where he modelled, developed and implemented a market-risk trading model.

Daniel holds an MSc in Operational Research and Information Systems from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BSc in Industrial Physics Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) in Mexico. Daniel has received executive education from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France; the Global Business Network in Berkeley, California; and the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, among others. Besides his mother tongue, Spanish, Daniel speaks English, German and Italian.
