Daniel Amparán is the Founder & Managing Director of FERNFUTURES, a growth strategy & data analytics company based in the United Kingdom.
Daniel partners with ambitious and principled CEOs, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and business leaders to create data-driven, fact-based growth strategies, identify the key resources and capabilities needed to transform organisations, and develop high-performance commercial operations and world-class sales teams.
He has worked with leading companies across the world and in multiple industries. His extensive international experience allows him to contextualise actionable and high-impact recommendations to a client’s culture, management style and reality. Daniel brings an analytical, multicultural, practical and science-based approach to his engagements.
Based in the United Kingdom, Daniel previously held Managing Director positions at leading business intelligence firms GlobalData and Pyramid Research. Prior to this, Daniel played a leading role in the development and international expansion of Telmex International (now part of América Móvil), where he worked closely with Telmex’s CEO and COO in its International and Corporate Development Divisions in Mexico City. His responsibilities included identifying strategic organic and acquisition-related growth opportunities for Telmex globally as well as coordinating the integration of its international acquisitions. Before joining Telmex, Daniel had years of management consulting and global investment banking experience, having worked for McKinsey and Co. in Mexico City and Dresdner Bank (now part of Commerzbank) in Frankfurt, Germany.
Daniel holds a Master of Science in Operational Research and Information Systems from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Physics Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) in Mexico. Daniel has received executive education from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France; the Global Business Network in Berkeley, California; and the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, among others.
Besides his mother tongue, Spanish, Daniel speaks English, German and Italian.
